A new Martin Lawrence movie: Oh no.

I have to admit it. I'm not a fan of Martin Lawrence. He's not that funny, especially when he's doing stand up. He's good in Bad Boys, but that's only because there are enough explosions and hot women to distract us. And without further ado, here's the trailer for his next movie, the grammatically incorrect Welcome Home Roscoe Jenkins...

We are all entitled to our own opinion. My own opinion is that Martin Lawrence is very funny. Some of his movies are not. I am an avid movie collector and watcher. I loved the first bad boys but the second one not as much because they made Martin's character so much of a punk it wasn't even enjoyable. The movie Life with him and Eddie Murphy was very funny. His second stand up wasn't funny either, but You So Crazy was hilarious. All that being said is in my own opinion.

Hi Jan-Michael,

Thanks for your feedback. I'm sure some people find him funny, just not me. I was not a big fan of Life, but I'm sure I've liked him in a few things.

So what's your favorite Martin Lawrence stuff?

Thanks for your reply. My favorite Martin movies are in order:
Bad Boys
A Thin Line Between Love and Hate
You So Crazy
Life
Blue Streak
National Security
Bad Boys II
I appreciate you being very respectful and intelligent in your reply. I've seen people slam people for just having differences of opinion. Like for example I bought V for Vendetta a little while ago and I've yet watch it without falling asleep. It just doesn't appeal to me. Keep doing your thing and thanks again for your reply.

Hi Jan-Michael,

OK, you got some decent ones on there. Here are my reviews for a few of them:

Bad Boys
Bad Boys II
Blue Streak
National Security
Life (didn't like this one too much)

Here's something you didn't know. I used to use your reviews to determine whether or not to either buy a particular movie or go see a particular movie. For the most part we saw eye to eye. Because you know we all have our own tastes. I think when Martin is able to become a character using make up or something to that effect he is funny. I don't know why he hasn't written a script or come up with his own story to play to his strengths. I know this will sound so cheesy but me and a co worker of mine have made two movies ourselves. I wrote majority of the dialog and we've collaborated on the story. Check us out on youtube. Just type in Nosehole Productions. My name on there is JayMizzel76. His is HumptyG. Let me know what you think. We are both active duty Air Force. Thanks...

Hi Eric-Jan-and Mike
Im a huge fan of Martin Lawrence all the way back to the MARTIN show. My feavorite characters he played on his show was shanaynay and little Roscoe. Back then martin was a funny dude, but alot has changed since then, he's not that funny any more. even when he was hosting DEF COMEDY JAM he was very funny. I hope someday through all his trial's and tribulations o0f being an actor- THE REAL MARTIN LAWRENCE WILL APPEAR AGAIN!
